About

Welcome to the Hillsdale Soccer Association (HSA) and Pascack Valley Youth Soccer League (PVYSL).

The HSA is a recreation soccer league for children who reside or are enrolled in one of the schools that are located in Hillsdale, New Jersey. The PVYSL is a recreation soccer league for children who reside or are enrolled in 3rd to 9th grades in schools that are located in Hillsdale and River Vale, New Jersey. Grade and not age determines eligibility. (Note: River Vale Youth Soccer Association (RVYSA) is operated for River Vale kindergarten to 2nd grade soccer program and also oversees the PVYSL program with HSA. This web site does not contain information specific to RVYSA.)

The philosophy of the HSA and PVYSL is to encourage and assist in the development and growth of soccer at all youth skill levels. The associations follow the guidelines of the New Jersey Youth Soccer Association (NJYSA) and The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA).

The Recreation Program operates September through November for approximately 10 weeks, ending just before Thanksgiving. Competitiveness, especially for the early grade levels, is minimized. Rather, the focus is on having fun, and developing skills, teamwork, sportsmanship and self-esteem at all skill levels.

Traveling players from Hillsdale (and River Vale) generally play in the Northern Counties league as Pascack Arsenal. The Pascack Arsenal is a separately run league. This is a competitive program for all school age levels. For more information about this program, contact Dave Wertheim:
